Garrett Adelstein Shares Details on Hustler Live Poker Cheating Conspiracy

The detailed statement includes dozens of pieces of circumstantial evidence. In the lawyer-assisted content, the Los Angeles high-stakes poker legend suggested that Robbi Jade Lew is far from the only person involved.

Lew made one of the craziest calls you’ve ever seen with J-high, winning a $269,000 pot against Adelstein’s 8-high on the HCL livestream. Minutes later, he began questioning the hand and then left the game.

The next day, he issued a statement saying Lew “clearly” cheated, leaving no doubt about his stance. On Friday night, on the advice of his legal team, he toned down the absolute language. Instead, he made comments such as she was “likely part of a cheating ring.”

Is the Theft Related to the Alleged Poker Cheating Scandal?

Hustler Casino Live’s investigation into the matter revealed that a production staff member, Bryan Sagbigsal, stole $15,000 in chips from Lew after the September 29 livestream. He was subsequently fired, but the victim refused to press charges, leading some to speculate that he might have been involved in the alleged cheating conspiracy.

Adelstein also suspects that the 24-year-old Sagbigsal and player Jacob “Rip” Chavez collaborated with Lew to cheat: “Video evidence will show several instances where they used verbal and non-verbal communication to achieve this.”

Lew returned $135,000 in chips after the controversial hand, although she repeatedly denied cheating on social media. However, Adelstein’s statement on 2+2 accused her of cheating in “several other hands.”

What Is the Evidence Against Robbi Jade Lew?

Adelstein’s bold claims are supported by a substantial amount of evidence, though much of it is circumstantial. However, some of this evidence was corroborated on Joe Ingram’s livestream on Friday night.

Take, for example, one of Adelstein’s sources in his statement—Hollywood producer and HCL regular Julie Yorn’s account:

When Lew entered a certain stakes game, she claimed she was going to buy in for $5,000. But before exchanging for chips, she started playing directly at the table and doubled up without any chips. Shortly after, Yorn noticed that Lew had not actually bought into the game but was sitting on the stack she had won in the aforementioned hand.

This evidence does not prove that Lew cheated in Hustler’s live game, but Adelstein used it to illustrate her potentially questionable character. Most of the evidence presented by the high-stakes pro on 2+2 revolves around “inconsistencies” in Lew’s live interviews.

Adelstein also pointed out contradictions in Lew’s on-site statements. When he asked her at the table how she could make such a bold call with J-high, she did not mention misreading her hand as J-3, which would have been a decent small pair, making it less suspicious.

Later in the match, she was pulled aside for an interview by Hustler Casino Live, where she first brought up the excuse of misreading her hand as J-3. She has since continued to use this excuse, but Adelstein cited the inconsistencies in her statements as one of the pieces of evidence against her.GGPoker

Adelstein’s lengthy post primarily focused on Lew’s inconsistencies and potentially dishonest statements. He claimed that she has been misleading about her relationship with Chavez and wrote that Lew, Chavez, and HCL regular Darren “Beanz” Attebery, who helped Lew get on the show, have given “suspicious, contradictory, or seemingly false stories” across several media outlets.

Darren “Beanz” Attebery appeared on Ingram’s livestream on Friday night, denying any involvement in the alleged cheating scandal. He said Adelstein’s accusations against him were baseless.

“Adelstein needs to get his facts straight before putting things out there,” Attebery said.

Accused Poker Cheater Responds

One thing is clear in this endless controversy: Lew has not shied away from the media. She has appeared on Ingram’s show multiple times, been active on social media, and responded to media inquiries.

Thus, on Saturday morning, she posted a statement online in response to Adelstein’s forum post. Predictably, she told a very different story and continued to deny any past relationship with Sagbigsal.

“Regarding the theft, I’ll say it again, and only once more. I have no relationship with this Sagbigsal whatsoever,” Lew wrote.

Many on Twitter pointed out that Lew had followed Sagbigsal on Twitter before he deleted his account on Thursday, suggesting that the two had a prior relationship or at least knew each other. However, there is no public direct evidence proving any communication between them beyond following each other on social media.

Hustler Casino Live declined to comment on Adelstein’s statement. Their investigation into the matter is ongoing.
